Frequently Asked Questions
What are the benefits of GLVIPA membership?
GLVIPA membership provides multiple advocacy and support services for practices, as well as an active calendar of educational events like the GLVIPA Speaker Series with keynote speakers who are leading authorities on topics critical to our profession and practices.
Joining the GLVIPA is also your gateway to the benefits of our co-organization—Valley Preferred. As a member of both groups, you are entitled to engage in numerous programs designed to support member professionals and their practices.
Chief among these is the highly successful Achieving Clinical Excellence® (ACE) incentive plan, a performance-based compensation model which provides member physicians with clear benchmarks to meet nationally-established standards. Incentives for primary and specialty care physicians focus on quality measures, financial outcomes and the patient experience.
How many GLVIPA members are there?
More than 1,700 physicians and nearly 1,000 APCs are active members of GLVIPA. Members include both independent and network-aligned providers, primary care providers and specialists. GLVIPA membership is highest in the Lehigh Valley region but as our advocacy and professional advancement programs have grown, so has our geographic reach. GLVIPA currently has active members throughout a 8-county region of eastern Pennsylvania, including Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Schuylkill, Luzerne, Monroe, Berks and Bucks Counties.
How much does GLVIPA membership cost?
Initial membership cost is $1,250, with annual membership dues of $250.
